In 2010 Apple revolutionised tablet PC’s by creating the iPad: a device with the functionality and beauty of a smartphone combined with the form factor of pre-existing tablet computers. The iPad Air continues that trend by making things thinner and more stylish.
It features a 5MP back facing camera that can record 1080p@30fps and fully supports 4G/LTE speeds. One of Apple’s trademarks is how well their devices capture and render images: even sensors up to 13MP such as on the HTC Desire EYE cannot compare to even the older models of the iPhone and iPad. The displays, too, are something that many are envious of: while not the greatest, the look and feel of an iDevice’s display is unmatched, even at higher pixel densities. The downside of course is the price: if you’re looking for a premium device, you have to pay a premium price.
Taking out a contract should, however, minimise this issue. A contract will allow you spread the cost across a 12 to 24 month period along with the benefit of having a monthly data allowance bundled in enabling access to the internet wherever you may be with speeds up to 60mbps.
